Negroni
In celebration of Florence’s most famous cocktail, we offer an extensive Negroni menu at Bar Pisellino. All Negronis are served on rocks with a twist of orange.
The Negroni Classico uses the traditional recipe of gin (Plymouth), Campari, and a sweet vermouth blend of Punt e Mes and Dolin Rouge.
The Negroni Bianco mixes Plymouth, Bordiga Bianco Vermouth, and Bitteroma Bianco, tending more herbaceous than classically bitter.
The Negroni Terra is an earthier variation, thanks to the artichoke notes of Cynar amaro mixed with Plymouth and Cocchi Vermouth di Torino.
The above three Negronis are served in a single rocks glass.
The Negroni Originale follows what’s said to be the original negroni recipe, with Plymouth, Gran Classico (an aperitif liqueur) instead of Campari, and a small amount of dry vermouth added to the sweet vermouth.
The Affumicato blends Mal Bien mezcal, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, Contratto Bitter, and Amaro Nonino.
The Boulevardier is another classic variation, using Wild Turkey bourbon instead of gin.
We make the Negroni Zero with Seedlip Grove (non-alcoholic citrus and herb spirit), Lyres Rosso (n/a sweet vermouth), and Pathfinder (n/a bitters).
The Negroni 1397’s primary component is bordiga rosso vermouth, with Plymouth and bitter bianco. 1397 is the year that many historians mark the beginning of the Renaissance in Florence.
The five Negronis above are served in a double rocks glass.
Our Negroni Frappé – Bordiga Vermouth Rosso, Martini & Rossi Red Bitter, and Plymouth – is shaken and served over pebble ice in a wine glass with a straw.
