Semifreddo
In Italian, semifreddo means “half cold” or “half frozen”; you can think of semifreddo as a cross between ice cream and mousse. Ours features chocolate and hazelnut, with cream and cocoa powder on top. We garnish the semifreddo with a gooseberry dipped in chocolate. The semifreddo is served on a plate with a doily and a spoon, or two spoons if sharing.
