Glassware

We draw from a beautiful collection of classic glassware in our bar service. Cocktails, beer, and wine should always be served on a coaster. Juices and sodas are served on a doily. Coffee and hot chocolate are presented on a saucer with a spoon. Water glasses and the small, stemmed amaro glasses are served directly on the table without a doily or coaster.

We use a Nick and Nora glass for many of our cocktails: Manhattan Nocino, Vesper, Gibson, and Paper Plane, as well as off-menu classics like the Bee’s Knees and Last Word.

We serve Martinis in a classic Martini glass. Both Martinis and Manhattans are accompanied with a Sidecar glass in a bowl of ice — the bartender pours part of the drink in the main glass and leaves the rest chilled in the sidecar, with garnishes on ice.

The Gloria glass is used for our Sgroppino, Arancia, as well as Gimlets.

Our Espresso Martini, Pistachio, and Bicerin come in the Georgian glass. Nota Bene: at Buvette and The Commerce Inn, staff call this a “Pisellino Glass.”

This is our Collins glass, served with juices and sodas, as well as the Americano cocktail.

We use two kinds of rocks glasses at Bar Pisellino: the single rocks glass (left) is thinner and comes with most Negronis. The double rocks glass (right) is heavier and checkered, served with Affumicato, Bianco Sbagliato, Campari Spritz, and spirits poured neat or on the rocks.

The wine glass is used for our five ounce wine pours, as well as for beers and frappés.

We serve water in this pub glass, when requested. Always bring a glass of sparkling water with coffee service.
