Inspiration

Bar Pisellino draws inspiration from the timeless, all-day bars of Italy: places like Caffé Florian, a 300-year-old café and bar in the heart of Venice; Caffé Gilli, the oldest café in Florence; and Marchesi, a specialty coffee and pastry shop in Milan. We aspire for guests to step into Bar Pisellino and feel transported — to an old-world café on a historic piazza or a winding Italian lane.

Rather than being a place for grabbing coffee on the go or working on a laptop, Bar Pisellino aims to generate a sense of indulgence and calm. We want guests to savor food and drinks that have been thoughtfully developed, sourced, and made. Each detail of the experience is essential to creating this effect, from design features that are fixed in the space (the gently curving marble bar, the window banquettes), to more variable aspects such as our presentation of drinks and food, and the way we greet and thank our guests.
